You’ve heard it before (it’s probably one of the most overused expressions in digital marketing) but in 2015 content is still very much “King”.
With the Google spiders crawling the web and indexing sites more frequently than they ever have before, you should be refreshing the content on your website at least weekly to ensure you don’t slip down the hit parade.
However, if you want to drive the online success of your business in 2015 you’ll need to ensure that the content you do produce is truly valuable to your clients and customers. There is so much internet activity every minute you’re in danger of getting lost, check out the figures in the infographic produced by Tech Spartan. Or take a look at these “live” statistics…
So how do you make your message stand out?
Your customers are more aware of brand messaging than ever before and if you continuously push sales orientated content on them, they will tune out… Instead, think about how to build a real relationship with your online customers, solve their problems with interesting content.
Here are my top three tips of how to make your content stand out:
- Become a TV Star: You can pack a whole lot of content into a one-minute video. Don’t make it any longer, we’re all so time poor these days your customers just won’t have the time to watch full length feature movie!
- Create an Infographic: It’s so much easier to get your message across with pretty pictures. Try these online tools…
- Write beautifully, (or find somebody who can…): Once you’ve created your content strategy if you don’t have somebody in house who can write well, employ a free lancer to help you. (Here’s where I come in… You send me your bulleted ideas for your blogging, or your random musings, and I’ll make it readable and compelling). CONTACT ME.
Once you’ve created your content…
Share it through all your social channels, a blog post is just the beginning, but before you share think about how to get the best exposure. You may have 200 Facebook “Likers” but how do you ensure as many as possible see your post? Check out this list from the Facebook Help Centre.
